evening's festivities with a rocking set of mostly original tunes, with
an appreciative and enthusiastic audience, including the ever-dancing
regular, Disco-Mike.

Kind comment from the event organizers:

generosity that was possible! Dick, Mike, and Tom- thank you for
creating a fun vibe through your music..."

Cruisin' on Main Street
Main Street, Manchester, Conn.
After the event was rain-dated from 8/3, The Aquatudes were the only
NESMA band still available to play at this charity-focused classic-car
extravaganza. They played two sets of rockin' surfin' madness, with the
occasional revving of a display car in the background for good effect!
Here's a link to the CTnow photo coverage of the event. There are a few good shots of the band:

The Aquatudes played at this second-annual car, truck, and motorcycle

understand that there were twice as many participants as there were at
last year's inaugural event! The 'Tudes are happy to have been part of
this successful endeavor.
The show benefited the programs and clients of Opportunityworks Connecticut.

the end, they were awarded 2nd Place, behind a talented and skillful
belly-dancing staffer from the payroll department!

Second-Saturdays for Families
The
Aquatudes played at the July installment of the monthly family-focused
event at the Atheneum. It was a beach-themed day with cool activities
and related art on display. The 'Tudes played in beautiful Avery
Court, among beachy paintings by Picasso, Dali, and other masters. Some
of the kids took advantage of the shakers we brought and added some
extra rhythm to the tunes. Avery Court is a very reverberant room and,
since we were playing in a museum in the first place, we had to really
watch the volume. We may now hold the distinction of being the world's
quietest surf band! View the evidence of this as we quietly play Black Sand Beach.
